Association for the Visually Impaired

• ​AVI’s mission is to enable persons of all ages who are visually impaired, blind or deaf-blind living throughout Rockland and Orange Counties to lead as independent a life as possible. They provide rehabilitation and counseling services in their homes and communities. AVI strives to improve the quality of life for each consumer by recognizing individual preferences and specific needs. They provide individualized rehabilitation teaching, social services, orientation and mobility, functional vision training and educational services.
