What’s involved in the AMD (age-related macular degeneration) eye exam?
During your exam, your eyes will be dilated so make sure you bring someone to drive you home. Additional tests may be done including a functional test to check for distortion and imaging tests to check for damaging blood or fluid.

Unfortunately, there is no cure for macular degeneration, but treatments help limit the disease’s progression and reduce the degree of visual loss.
